My Story

I’m a creative individual, whose lived in England for 21 years, and I’m proud to say that my roots are originally from Lithuania. It’s a small Baltic country, with the famous golden ambers washed on the seashores. I immigrated to live in England from a young age, where I received all of my education (from Primary School up to University level). I studied contemporary performance art, gained my Master's Degree in Fine Art, and I have used my creative skills in nearly every working environment.

Having developed a talent at an early age, and throughout life, I continued to master the skills so that I can help others! My real journey in creative arts projects began with soundLINCS (Music Development Non-Profit Organization) in 2016. I worked for six months at Lincoln County Hospital (NHS), with the Music Facilitators and Rhubarb Theatre Company. It was an amazing experience to be in the peadiatrics ward and to transform the Rainforest playroom into a sensory environment for the children.

Arts & Healthcare Interest

After years of developing my art skills, I started to focus on Health & Social Care in 2019. I concentrated on improving and maintaining the healthy well-being of the seniors in weekly Arts & Crafts classes, transforming the environment with artwork, and working on interactive mandala arts projects (Arts for Health, Milton Keynes University Hospital). For my commitment, perseverance, and high-quality of work at Glenholme Holdingham Grange, I received the GEM Award (for Going the Extra Mile).

Before the Covid-19 pandemic at the start of 2020, my creativity led me to work full-time abroad at Hermann-Lietz Schule boarding school in Haubinda, Germany, where I continued to work on art projects with various ages. Currently based in Boston, East Midlands, England, I combine my specialism in Art Therapy as an Arts Practitioner in Health & Social Care. I regularly document the progress of my work in Healthcare on my Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/artstherapyuk/
